Myth Busting

My favorite part is when we bust the myths. That being said, here are some of my favorites. 💛

.
Nutrition is a very wide subject, and that is a reason it’s very prone to pseudoscience. It’s on us to come closer to that in a professional way, and see what works and whatnot. 🤓
.
.
🤯 DETOX DIETS
.
‘’Cleaning’’ your organism is not necessary, nor it is possible, our liver, lungs, skin... are already doing that for us. Also, that is not a good option for losing weight since you’ll more or less feel hungry during the day if you take only those juices. As a result, overeating will happen. There are far better ways for that.
.
.
😎 ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS ARE BAD
.
Nutritive and non-nutritive sweeteners, and if you take any of them moderately, they cannot do any harm. My recommendation is to use non-nutritive, and save calories for some other food...
.
🥦ORGANIC FOOD IS BETTER
.
Except being much pricier, there isn’t any evidence that organic food is better than conventional one. Save your money for something more useful. Actually, it’s much more important to eat real food (fruits, vegetables, meat, cereals, mushrooms, nuts, eggs, fish, milk products) than to burden yourself thinking are those products organic or not.
.
.
😏 IF YOU DO NOT EAT ENOUGH - YOU’LL GAIN WEIGHT
.
If you think that you are eating less than 1200 kcal, and you are still gaining weight - I am afraid you are in a delusion. There is no way you can starve and still gain weight just. That being said, check again on the number of calories you are taking...
.
😅 WHEN YOU ARE SWEATING, YOU ARE BURNING FATS
.
Sweating is a process that is helping our body to regulate its own temperature. It’s a way of natural cooling. This way, you are losing water and some of the electrolytes. If you are measuring your weight after a workout, it’s a good indicator of how much water you lost, meaning you should compensate for the same amount. It definitely isn’t an indicator of burned fats.
.
Is there anything that you’ve heard about nutrition and workout, but you are not sure if it is correct?
